1 AN ORDINANCE creating a "State Aid Fund" and creating a
2 "War Liquor Tax Fund ".
3 : TEE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN
• 4 is AS FOLLOWS:
5 ' Section 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 81 of
6 the laws of 1943 certain funds are received and shall hereafter be
7 ;; received by the city under an appropriation made by the legislature
{
8 and that all such moneys shall be placed by the city in a fund
9 : which is hereby designated "State Aid - Fund ". That the said fund

shall be expended only for wages; salaries, supplied, material and
11 equipment for police and fire protection, health and sanitation,
12 ', libraries, parks and civilian defense.
13 Section 2. That pursuant to the provisions. of Chapter 173
14 of the laws of 1943 the °city will hereafter receive certain money
15 . from the tax on the sale of liquor and that all of said funds shall

16 be placed by the city in a fund to,be designated "War Liquor Tax
17 Fund ". That eaid funds may be expended exclusively for health,
is police protection, and pr'otection,from loss by fire.
19 Section 3. That because of the facts the adoption of this
20 Ordinance is urgent and necessary for the public peace, health and
21 safety of the inhabitants of the city which emergency is declared
22 to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect and be enforced from
23 ' and after its passage, approval and lawful publication.
