HomeMy WebLinkAbout1180• V ) It 04 - + - .\ OMITTED ORDINANCE NO. %/41O AN ORDINANCE Relating to and regulating traffic and travel and their incidents upon the streets, avenues, alleys and public highways of the City of Port Angeles; providing for vehicle equipment and devices and the inspection thereof; limiting and restricting certain use of the public highway of the City; prescribing rules of the road for vehicular and other traffic on the public highways of the City; providing for the conduct in the event of vehicle accident and for making reports thereof; prescribing the powers and duties of peace officers and other persons in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing pen- alties; repealing certain ordinances relating to the subject of this ordinance; saving certain acts performed; providing for the adoption by ordinance of the Washington Motor Vehicle Act and amendments and additions thereto, being Chapter 189 of the Session Laws of 1937, and amendments and additions thereto; and declaring an emergency. THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Washington Motor Vehicle Act, being Chap- ter 189 of the Session Laws of 1937, and all amendments and addi- tions thereto, is hereby adopted by reference, as provided by Chapter 213 of the Session Laws of 1943, as an ordinance for the City of Port Angeles; provided, that not less than three copies of said Chapter 189 of the Session Laws of 1937, and amendments and additions thereto, be filed for use and examination by the public in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Port Angeles. Section 2. All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and having been .passed by unanimous vote of the Commission, shall take effect imme- diately upon its passage, approval and lawful publication.
