ORDINANCE NO. // �2
AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1170 of the
City of Port Angeles, providing for the improvement of Eighth, Ninth,
Tenth and Eleventh Streets East of Lincoln Street, and Twelfth
Street from Chase to Vine Streets, and Chase, Peabody and Eunice
Streets South of Eighth Street.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1170 of the City of
Port Angeles, adopted by the City Commission on October 2, 1946, be
and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"Section 4. Bonds bearing interest at the
rate of 5% per annum, payable on or before ten (10)
years from the date of their issue, shall be issued
in payment of the cost and expense of said improve-
ment, which bonds may be redeemed by the collection
of special assessments to be levied against the prop-
erty within said district payable in eight (8) annual
installments under the mode of 'payment by bonds', as
provided by law. These bonds may be delivered to the
contractor in redemption of warrants on the special
fund of the local improvement district herein created
on estimates of the City Engineer, or the said city
at its election may sell said bonds and make such re-
demption in cash or cash warrants."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force after its passage and approval, and from and after five days
after its lawful publication.
