HomeMy WebLinkAbout1241ORDINANCE NO. /Z g/ AN ORDINANCE confirming the estimates of expenditures for the City of Port Angeles for the year 1951, and fixing tax levies for said year as heretofore made and levied by the City Commission of said City meeting and sitting for such purpose on the ___ day of October, 1950, and declaring an emergency. THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. That the estimate of expenditures for the levy .of taxes made by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles sitting as a body for that purpose on the 4 day of October, 1950, be, and the same is hereby, confirmed, and there is hereby fixed and levied for said City and its districts for the year 1951 upon all property, both real and personal, subject to taxation for the several funds herein set forth, and upon each and every dollar of ft the assessed valuation of such property as shown by the record of assessments in the office of the County Assessor of Clallam County, Washington, to wit: FUND MILLS AMOUNT Current Expense 1.27 $ 11,317.68 City Street 7.37 65,678.18 Library 1.50 13,367.33 Park 2.75 24,506.78 Cemetery .54 4,812,24 Eighth Street Bridge Bonds .57 5,079.58 Firemen's Pension 1.00 8,911.58 15.00 $133,673.37 Section 2. That all said taxes are necessary levies needed to raise sufficient funds to maintain said City, its several dis- 'tricts and departments for the year 1951, commencing January 1, 1951, • and ending December 31, 1951, and said taxes are hereby levied pro - 'portionately in said City and each of said districts respectively in accord with their joint and several needs, requirements and li- ,abilities as shown upon the assessment roll of Clallam County as „finally fixed and equalized by the Board of Equalization of said 'County and of the State of Washington and extended upon the assess- ment rolls of said County, showing property within the City of Port Angeles subject to taxation for municipal purposes as certified by the County Assessor of Clallam County according to law. Section 3. That this ordinance is urgent and necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the people of Port Angeles. That an emergency is hereby declared to exist. That this ordinance shall therefore take effect and be in full force immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
