HomeMy WebLinkAbout1261• ORDINANCE N0. / 21 / AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of the alley running in a Northerly and Southerly direction through Block Two (2) of Cain's Subdivision of Suburban Lot Twenty -one (21) in the City of Port Angeles. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commis- sion of the City of Port Angeles by the owners of more than two- 'thirds of the property abutting upon a portion of the alley running in a Northerly and Southerly direction through Block Two (2) of Cain's Subdivision of Suburban Lot Twenty -one (21) in the City of 1Port Angeles; and WHEREAS, a hearing has been had upon such petition pur- suant to notice in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS, as a result of said hearing it has been resolved 'by the City Commission of the City of Port Angeles to vacate that portion of such alley abutting on Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4) and Five (5) in said Block Two (2) and extending from the :Southerly margin of Second Street to the Northerly margin of the alley running in an Easterly and Westerly direction through said Block Two (2); and WI EREAS, there were no objections at said hearing to said petition, and it appeared that the petitioners were the owners of more than two - thirds of the property abutting upon that portion of such alley sought to be vacated; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, as follows: Section 1. That that portion of the alley running in a Northerly and Southerly direction through Block Two (2) in Cain's Subdivision of Suburban Lot Twenty -one (21) in the City of Port 'Angeles, particularly described as follows: extending from the • Southerly margin of Second Street to the Northerly margin of the oalley running in an Easterly and Westerly direction through said Block Two (2), and abutting upon Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4) and Five (5) in said Block Two (2), be, and the same is hereby, vacated. Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and ,;be in force thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, approval and lawful publication.
