ORDINANCE NO. /46.2
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles approving and con-
firming the assessments and assessment roll of Local Improvement
District No. 154 of the City of Port Angeles, created by Ordinance
No. 1245; levying and assessing the amounts of such assessments
against the several lots, tracts and parcels of land and other
property as shown on such assessment roll; ordering that collec-
tions of such assessments, creating and establishing a special
local improvement fund for said district.
THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN
as follows:
Section 1. That the assessment roll for Local Improvement
District No. 154 of the City of Port Angeles as created by Ordin-
ance No. 1245 of the City of Port Angeles be, as the same now
stands, ratified, approved and confirmed in all things.
Section 2. That each of the lots, tracts or parcels of
;land and other property shown upon said roll is hereby declared
to be especially benefited by said improvement in at least the
amount shown by said assessment roll, and thereon charged against
the same according to said Ordinance No. 1245, and that the
assessments appearing against such lots, tracts and parcels and
other property are in proportion to the several assessments against
each other lot, tract and parcel of land and other property appear-
ing upon said assessment roll as hereby levied and assessed against
each such lot, tract and parcel of land and other property appear-
ing on said roll in the amount finally charged and assessed there-
on upon and against each of said lots, tracts and parcels of land
and other property.
Section 3. That there is hereby created and established
for said Local Improvement District No. 154 a special fund to be
known and designated as Local Improvement District Fund No. 154
for the uses and purposes provided in such cases by law and the
ordinances of the City of Port Angeles, and into which special
fund all such assessments shall be paid when collected.
Section 4. All such assessments, or any of them, may be
paid without interest at any time within thirty (30) days from
the date of the first publication of the notice of the City
Treasurer to pay the same as required by law to be given, and all
payments not made within such period of thirty (30) days shall
thereafter be paid in ten (10) equal annual instalments, with in-
terest thereon at the rate of five per cent (5%) per annum. Any
such annual instalments not paid when due shall bear in addition
to the regular interest above specified additional penalty interest
at the rate of five per cent (5 %) per annum.
Section 5. That immediately upon this ordinance becoming
effective, said assessment roll shall be delivered tp the City
Treasurer for the collection thereof, and such treasurer shall
thereupon proceed to collect the same in the manner provided by
law.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law.
