AN ORDINANCE confirming the estimates of expenditure for the City
of Port Angeles for the year 1954 and fixing tax levies for said year as
heretofore made and levied by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles,
meeting and sitting for such purpose and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. That the estimate of expenditures for the levy of taxes
,made by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles, sitting as a body for
that purpose on the 5th day of October, 1953, be, and the same is, hereby
:confirmed and there is hereby fixed and levied for said city and its districts
for the year 1954, upon all property both real and personal subject to taxa-
tion, for the several funds herein set forth upon each and every dollar of the
assessed value of such property as shown by the records of assessments in the
office of the County Assessor of Clallam County, Washington, milleage as
follows, to wit:

Section 2. That all said taxes are necessary levies needed to raise
Sufficient funds to maintain said City, its several districts and departments
for the year 1954, commencing January 1st, 1954, and ending December 31st, 1954,
and said taxes are hereby levied proportionately in said city and each of said
districts respectively in accord with their joint and several needs, require-
ments and liabilities as shown upon the assessment roll of Clallam County as
finally fixed and equalized by the Board of Equalization of said County and of
phe State of Washington and extended upon the assessment rolls of said county
showing property within the City of Port Angeles subject to taxation for muni-
Icipal purposes as certified by the County Assessor of Clallam County according
ro law.
Section 3. That this ordinance is urgent and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the people of
the City of Port Angeles. That an emergency is hereby declared to exist.

passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
