I4V97 AN ORDINANCE relating to the use of the public streets, ,galleys and public places of the City of Port Angeles; amending ,sections Nineteen (19), Twenty (20), Twenty Two (22) and Twenty Eight (28) of Ordinance number 1310 adopted August 6th, 1953. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. That section Nineteen (19) of ordinance (number 1310 be amended to read as follows: Section 19. Parking on the various streets and portions of streets in the City of Port Angeles shall be as follows: (a) On the following streets and portions of streets all cars shall be angle parked as defined herein. (1) Both sides of Front Street from Lincoln Street to Oak Street. (2) Both sides of First Street from Lincoln Street to Oak Street. (3) The East side of Oak Street from Front Street to Railroad Avenue (b) On all other streets and portions of streets in the City, cars shall be parked parallel to the curb. (c) Where parking lines are painted upon the streets, cars shall be parked to conform to such parking lines and not otherwise. SECTION II. That section twenty (20) of ordinance number 1310 be amended to read as follows: Section 20. On the following designated streets and parts of streets, parking of cars shall be subject to the following time limits: (a) On Front Street between Oak Street and a point two- I hundred (200) feet east of the east margin of Lincoln Street; On first Street between Cherry Street and a point one - hundred (100) feet east of the east margin' of Chase street; On Oak Street between Front Street and to the alley between First and Second Street; on Laurel Street between First Street and Railroad Avenue; On Lincoln Street between Third Street and Railroad Avenue; the following parking limits shall be observed and maintained. Between 9:00 A. M. and 6 :00 P. M. on said portions of said streets the limit of time shall not exceed one hour. (b) On Lincoln Street from Third Street to Eighth Street and on Eighth Street from Lincoln Street to Laurel Street between the hours of 9:00 A. M. and 6:00 P.m. on said portions of said streets the time limit shall be two hours, and, on First Street from a point one hundred feet east of the east margin of Chase Street to Penn Street the time limit shall be two hours day or night. (c) Fifteen Minute Parking. Beginning at a point on the north curb line of Front Street and the east margin of Lincoln Street, and thence running easterly a distance of fifty (50) feet along said curb line; Beginning at a point on the South curb line of Front Street and the east margin of Oak Street, and thence running easterly along said curb line a distance of fifty (50) feet; Beginning at a point of the South curb line of First Street and the east margin of Oak Street and. thence running easterly a distance of one hundred and twenty five (125) feet. Beginning at a point on the South curb line of Front Street and the East margin of Laurel Street, and running thence easterly a distance of fifty (50) feet; Beginning at a point on the South curb line of First Street and the west margin of Laurel Street, and running thence westerly a distance of fifty (50) feet from said point. Between 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. on said portions of said streets the limit of time shall not exceed fif- teen (15) minutes. (d) Theatres. Beginning at a point on the south curb line of Front Street and a point one hundred and fifty (150) feet east of the east margin of Laurel Street and thence running easterly a distance of fifty (50) feet along said curb line. While shows are in progress at any of said theatres, and for a reasonable time prior thereto, and subsequent thereto, no cars or vehicles of any kind shall be parked in front of the same, except for loading and unloading. -2- r • (e) Hotels. Beginning at a point on the south curb line of Front Street and a point two hundred twenty -five (225) feet east of the east margin of Oak Street; and thence run- ning a distance of twelve (12) feet along said curb line; Beginning at a point on the south curb line of Front Street and a point ninety feet east of the east mar- gin of Laurel Street and thence running easterly a distance of twenty -four (24) feet along said curb line; Beginning at a point on the north curb line of First Street and a point thirty (30) feet westerly of the west margin of Lincoln street, and thence running westerly a distance of twenty -four (24) feet along said curb line; Beginning at a point on the north curb line of First Street and a point ninety -four (94) feet east of the east margin of Cherry Street, and thence running easterly a distance of twenty -four (24) feet along said curb line; Beginning at a point on the soufth curb line of First Street and a point one hundred and thirty (130) feet west of the west margin of Laurel Street, and running westerly a distance of thirty -six (36) feet along said curb line; Beginning at a point on the west curb line of Lincoln Street and a point on the south margin of Second Street and running thence southerly a distance of twenty (20) feet along said curb line. No cars or vehicles of any kind shall be parked at any any time at said zones except for loading and unloading. (f) Bus Depots and Bus Stands Beginning at a point on the west curb line of Lincoln Street and a point one hundred and fifty (150) feet North of the north margin of Front Street and running thence northerly a distance of fifty (50) feet. Beginning at a point on the south curb line of Front Street and a point one hundred and fifty (150) feet east of the east margin of Laurel Street and thence running easterly a distance of fifty feet (50) feet along said curb line. Beginning at a point on the north curb line of First Street and a point at the east margin of Laurel Streets and thence running easterly a distance of forty (40) feet along said curb line. Beginning at a point on the north curb line of First Street and the west margin of Lincoln Street, and runp ning thence northerly a distance of forty (40) feet along said curb line; No cars or other vehicles of any kind shall be parked et any time in fitkam lime said zones except for loading and unloading. (g) Night Parking Limits. On Lincoln Street between Third Street and Railroad Avenue, on First Street between Chase Street and Valley Street. On Laurel Street between First Street and Railroad Avenue and on Oak Street between First Street and Railroad Avenue, the following /limits shall be maintained. parking Between 2:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M. no cars or vehicles shall be parked or left standing. All cars parked in violation of the provisions of this ordinance may be irppounded. -3- • 1w existing poles shall, result from the installation herein licensed along the streets and alleys above named. Whenever poles of the Company shall be installed to take the place of existing poles of the City, as hereby provided, the cost of transferring the City's Wires and equipment from its own poles to those installed by the 1 Company shall be borne entirely by the Company. Section 8. That all lines hereafter constructed by the Company under authority of this ordinance and all replacements here- after made by the Company pursuant to the authority herein granted, (shall be installed upon insulators of sufficient type and weight in capacity to carry a voltage and current equal to twenty per cent excess over the voltage and current actually carried upon such lines. Section 9. That the Comp any shall pay for the rights and ,privileges herein granted, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per annum for the term hereof, payable in advance on the 1st day of February of each year. Section 10. That the Company shall within fifteen (15) days `from and after the passage and approval of this ordinance file its acceptance in writing hereof with the Clerk of the City. Section 11.
