AN ORDINANCE of the Council of the City of Port Angeles,
Washington approving and confirming the assessments and assessment
roll for Local Improvement District No. 168 created for the
improvement of certain streets by the construction of curbs,
. gutters, sidewalks and corner curbs and by doing such other work
necessary in connection therewith as authorized and ordered by
Ordinance No. 1344, and levying and assessing the amounts thereof
against the several lots, tracts, parcels of land and other
property as shown on said assessment roll.
WHEREAS, notice of the hearing on the assessment roll of
Local Improvement District No. 168 was duly and regularly given
to the property owners within said district in the manner
required by law, said hearing to be held on the 6th day of October,
1955, and
it WHEREAS, after due consideration of all circumstances and
conditions and no protests having been filed by the property
owners within the district to the assessments levyied on their
respective pieces of property, and
WHEREAS, the Council has ordered that said assessment roll
as presented be confirmed in the manner required by law; now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN
as follows:
Section 1: That the assessments and assessment roll of
Local Improvement District No. 168 for the improvement of Georgians
Street from Race Street to Ennis Street by the construction of
curbs, gutters and sidewalks on both sides of said Georgians Street
and by the construction of corner curbs at the intersections of
streets and by doing such other work incidental thereto and
'i necessary in connection therewith as authorized and ordered by
Ordinance No. 1344 passed on the 17th day of March, 1955 as the
same now stands be, and the same is, hereby in all things
approved and confirmed.

Section 2: That each of the lots, tracts and parcels of land
I' and other property shown upon said roll is hereby declared to be
specially benefitted by said improvements in at least the amount
charged against the same, and that the assessment appearing against
the same is in proportion to the several assessments appearing
upon said roll. There is hereby levied and assessed against each
such lot, tract, parcel of land and other property appearing upon
said roll the amount finally charged against the same thereon.
Section 3: Said amount or any portion thereof may be paid at any
time within thirty (30) days from the date of the first publication
of the notice of such assessment without penalty, interest or
costs and thereafter the sum remaining unpaid may be paid in ten
(10) equal annual installments with interest on the whole unpaid
sum at the rate of 4 3/4 per cent per annum.
That commencing with the first year after the date of the
first publication of said notice of assessment, and each year
thereafter, one of said installments, together with the interest
due thereon, and all installments thereafter to become due shall
be collected as provided by law and the ordinances of the City of
Port Angeles.
