HomeMy WebLinkAbout1409• ORDINANCE NO. /Y41 AN ORDINANCE fixing the annual salaries, compensation and wages of the various classifications of employment applicable to the different officers, assistance and employees of the City of Port Angeles, and determining the time of payment thereof and providing Ifunds for temporary employees. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN as follows: 1 Section 1. That on and after and as of January 1st, 1958 the annual salaries, compensation and wages of the different officers, assistants and employees of the City of Port Angeles as determined according to their respective classifications of employ- ment and providing a salary range in individual salaries as deter - !mined according to years or service, and said salaries shall not exceed the amounts hereinafter set forth as follows: Mayor and Council: Mayor, Chairman of the Council $ 600.00 6 Councilmen, each 300.00 Provided, however, that the salaries of those members of the Council completing an existing term of office shall remain in accordance with the statutes of the State of Washington in such case made and provided. All such salaries, compensation and wages shall be paid in twenty -four installments, such installments to be as nearly equal as the established accounting procedure of the City of Port Angeles shall permit, and shall be paid on the first and fif- teenth days of each month during the year 1958, or as soon there- after as the established accounting procedure of the City of Port Angeles shall permit. Section 3. Extra Labor and Over Time shall be at the rates indicated for monthly salaries divided into hourly pay with one and one-half times the hours allowed for the hours actually worked in all departments excepting the Light Department, which department shall receive the rate of pay set forth herein for double time act- ually worked. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 5.
