HomeMy WebLinkAbout1530• ORDINANCE NO. j53D AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles amending Section 11.48 of the Code of the City of Port Angeles with reference to billings for electric current. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES that Section 11.48 of the Code of the City of Port Angeles is amended to read as follows: Sec. 11.48 Accounts generally. It shall be the duty of the superintendent to keep accounts of electric current and to enter in all such accounts, all charges and penalties. All charges against consumers of electric current shall be due and payable without notice to the consumer on or before fifteen days after the day statements are sent out to customers. The superintendent shall establish a bi- monthly system of billing so as to reflect the charges for a two month period, provided that: Commercial and industrial accounts shall be billed on a monthly basis. Should any such accounts not be paid as required, they shall be delinquent. Should a delinquent account not be paid within seven days after it becomes delinquent, ,the City Treasurer shall notify the superintendent who shall immedi- lately cut off electricity from the premises, and it shall not again be turned on until all arrears are paid, together with a fee of Three Dollars for the turning on of the current.
