AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles amending Sections 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 of the City Code ofthe City of Port Angeles with reference to buildings. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, as follows: Section 1. That Sec. 7.1 of the City Code of the City of Port Angeles is amended to read as follows: Sec. 7.1. The 1964 Edition, Volume I of the Uniform Building Code and its Appendix, published by the International Conference of Building Officials, is hereby adopted by this refer- ence pursuant to the provisions of Section 35.21.180 of the Revised Code of Washington, as the official Building Code of the City, three copies of which are now on file in the office of the City Clerk, and which Building Code is open to the inspection at all times that such office is open to the public. Section 2. That Sec. 7.2 of the City Code of the City of Port Angeles is amended to read as follows: Sec. 7.2. For each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof above $50,000 $0.50. Section 3. That Sec. 7.3 of the City Code of the City of Port Angeles is amended to read as follows: Sec. 7.3. The entire City is hereby declared to be and is hereby established as a fire district, which fire district shall be divided into three zones, which shall be known and designated as fire zone Nos. 1, 2 and 3, and which include the portions of the City as follows: (a) Fire zone 1. Beginning at a point where the !south margin of Front Street intersects the west margin of Peabody Street; thence west along the south margin of Front Street to a point 200 feet west of the west margin of Chase Street; thence north along a line 200 feet west of and parallel to the west margin of Chase Street to the south margin of Railroad Avenue; thence west along the south margin of Railroad Avenue, and said south margin extended, to its intersection with the east margin of Cherry Street, projected; thence south along said projected east margin of Cherry 'Street to the south margin of Front Street; thence west along the south margin of Front Street, and continuing along the southerly margin of Marine Drive to its intersection with the east margin of Valley Street; thence south along the east margin of Valley Street to the north margin of Second Street; thence east along the north margin of Second Street to the west margin of Oak Street; thence north along the west margin of Oak Street to the south margin of the alley between First and Second Streets; thence east along the south margin of said alley to the east margin of Laurel Street; thence south along the east margin of Laurel Street to the north margin of Second Street; thence east along the north margin of Second Street to the west margin of Chase Street; thence north along the west margin of Chase Street to the south margin of the alley between First and Second Streets; thence east along the south margin of said alley to the west margin of Peabody Street; thence north along the west margin of Peabody Street to point of beginning. (b) Fire zone 2. Beginning at a point where the north margin of Second Street intersects the east margin of Laurel Street; thence south along the east margin of Laurel Street to the • north margin of the alley between Seventh and Eighth Streets; thence west along the north margin of said alley to the east margin of "D" Street; thence south along the east margin of "D" Street to the south margin of the alley between Eighth and Ninth Streets; thence east along the south margin of said alley to the east margin i • • of Laurel Street; thence south along the east margin of Laurel Street to the north margin of Ninth Street; thence east along the north margin of Ninth Street to the west margin of Chase Street; thence north along the west margin of Chase Street to the south margin of the alley between Eighth and Ninth Streets; thence east along the south margin of said alley to the west margin of Washing- ton Street; thence north along said west margin of Washington Street to the north margin of the alley between Seventh and Eighth Streets; thence west along the north margin of said alley to the west margin of Chase Street; thence north along the west margin of Chase Street to the north margin of Second Street; thence west along the north margin of Second Street to the point of beginning. Also that area described as follows: Be- ginning at the point where the south margin of the alley between First and Second Streets intersects the west margin of Peabody Street; thence east along the south margin of said alley to the east City Limits; thence north along said east City Limits to the north margin of U. S. Highway 101; thence east along said north margin to the west margin of Belleview Avenue; thence north along the west margin of Belleview Avenue to the north margin of Front Street; thence west along said north margin of Front Street to the westerly line of Block 1, Green's Belleview Addition; thence north along the westerly line of said Block 1, Green's Belleview Addition! to the point of intersection with the north margin of the alley be- tween Georgiana and Front Streets, extended; thence west along the north margin of said alley, and said alley extended, to the inter- section with the west margin of Peabody Street extended; thence south along said west margin and extended west margin of Peabody Street to the point of beginning. (c) Fire zone -3. The remaining portion of the city not included in fire zones No. 1 and No. 2 shall constitute fire zone No. 3. Section 4. That Sec. 7.4 of the City Code of the City of Port Angeles is amended to read as follows: Sec. 7.4. A map of the City outlining and designating the areas listed as fire zones Nos. 1, 2 and 3, as set out in Sec. 7.3 of the City Code, has been prepared and is now on file with the City Clerk, designated as "Official Fire Zone Map ", which map is identified by the approving signatures of the Mayor and City ;Clerk and is hereby adopted as part of this chapter, together with all notations, references, symbols and legends shown thereon. This 'chapter and each of its terms shall be read and interpreted in the light of such map.
