AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles relating to
licensing of bicycles.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES as follows:
Section 6.3. of the Code of the City of Port Angeles is
amended to read as follows:
The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and di-
rected to issue upon written applications, bicycle licenses which
shall be effective for two years and all such licenses shall be
dated July 1st of the year of issue, which licenses when issued
shall entitle the licensees to operate such bicycles for which
said licenses have been issued, upon all the streets, alleys and
`public highways, and on sidewalks in sections of the City as speci-
fied by the Chief of Police.
Section 6.4. of the Code of the City of Port Angeles is
amended to read as follows:
License plates: The City shall provide every two
years license stamps or plates, together with registration cards,
said plates or stamps and registration cards having numbers stamped)
thereon in numerical order, beginning with Number 1, and indicating'
the years for which the same are issued, and the name "Port Angeles"
of
stamped thereon; the plate to be /a design and material determined
iby the Chief of Police, and it shall be the duty of the Chief of
Police to attach one such plate or stamp to each bicycle, and to
issue a corresponding registration card to each license upon the
payment of the license fee herein provided for. Such plate or
stamp shall remain attached during the existence of such license.
The Chief of Police shall also keep a record of the date of issue
of each license, to whom issued, the number hereof and the number
of the bicycle frame.

Section 6.5. of the Code of the City of Port Angeles is
amended to read as follows:
The license fee to be paid for each bicycle shall
be twenty -five cents. All license fees collected under this
chapter shall be paid to the Chief of Police.
Section 6.6. of the Code of the City of Port Angeles is
amended to read as follows:
Re- registration: Bicycles registered under the
provisions hereof shall be re- registered July 1, 1966 and every
itwo years thereafter. The Chief of Police shall affix a new
license plate or stamp upon each bicycle at the time of such re-
registration.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and
approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council held on
the 16th day of September, 1965.
