HomeMy WebLinkAbout1582ORDINANCE NO. /37.2., AN ORDINANCE vacating portions of Lopez Street. WHEREAS, the owners of Blocks 11 and 16 in Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Second Addition to the City of Port Angeles have requested the City Council to vacate Lopez Street as it is platted between Blocks 11 and 16; and WHEREAS, the plat for Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Second Addition to the City of Port Angles was filed more than five years prior to 1912, and said plat lay wholly without the limits of a city or town, and Lopez Street between Blocks 11 and 16 in said plat have never been opened for use as a street; and WHEREAS, under the laws of the State of Washington a street j which was platted and not opened for five years prior to 1912 in an area outside the limits of a city or town was by operation of ' law vacated; and WHEREAS, Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Second Addition to the City of Port Angeles lay outside the City Limits of the City of Port Angeles for a period in excess of fifty years; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES that Lopez Street, between Blocks 11 and 16 in Puget Sound Cooperative Colony's Second Addition to the City of Port Angeles is by operation of law hereby vacated.
