HomeMy WebLinkAbout1666ORDINANCE NO. /66G AN ORDINANCE providing for the emergency expenditure created by emergency caused by the violence of nature, aid recalling portions of unexpended fund balances, and reappropriating said recall funds for other purposes. WHEREAS, during the winter of 1968, violent wave action coupled with high tides caused severe damage to the City street on Ediz Hook due to the insufficiency of the bulkhead protecting said road; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that said road be maintained for the proper function of the United States Coast Guard Station lo- cated on Ediz Hook and for recreational reasons; and WHEREAS, there are $60,000.00 worth of unexpended funds available in various appropriations to meet the necessary expendi- ture of $60,000.00 to repair said bulkhead; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council as follows: Section 1. The following amounts from the following City funds are recalled from the following budget divisions: Funds Amount Budget Division Mayor and Council $3,500.00 Capital Outlay Finance Department 3,000.00 Capital Outlay City Manager 2,500.00 Salary Planning Commission 3,000.00 Professional Services Engineer's Department 30,000.00 Salary Engineer's Department 10,000.00 Capital Outlay Fire Department 8,000.00 Salary Section 2. The above $60,000.00 is hereby reappropriated to the Street Department to pay for the cost of rip rap for the bulkhead on Ediz Hook.
