AN ORDINANCE establishing a position classification
and pay plan for the City Employees and providing
for the payment thereof for the year 1975.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ANGELES, as follows:
Section 1. The following position classification for
City employees is hereby adopted to take effect January 1, 1975:

Hourly employees are to be paid not more than the same
hourly rate as starting monthly rate for the classification.
Employees will be reviewed after being in each step one
year. A written review shall be made of each employee by his Depart-
ment Head whenever he is eligible for advancement. If an increase -
is not recommended, the reasons shall be discussed with the City
, J
Manager. If he concurs with the Department Head, the decision must
be discussed with the employee who, be told of his next review
date. Decisions can also be reviewed by the employee with the City
Manager upon written'recjuest of the employee.'
At the discretion of the Department Head and City Manager,
a new review date of 3, 6, 9, or 12 month's~ may be designated when
an increase is refused.
Section 3. All compensation and wages shall be paid in
twenty -four installments, such installments to be as nearly equal
as the established accounting procedures of the City of Port
Angeles shall permit, and shall be paid on the fifth and twentieth
days of each month during the year 1975, or as soon thereafter as
the established accounting procedures of the City of Port Angeles
shall permit, except that the 24th installment shall be paid on the
last working day of December 1975.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and
approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council held on
the day of , 1975.
