BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, as follows: Section 1. The following position classification for City employees is hereby adopted to take effect January 1, 1976. PUBLIC WORKS SALARY RANGE Foreman 13 Traffic Maintenance Foreman 13 Chief Sewer Treatment Plant Operator 13 Engineering Aid # 1 13 Engineering Aid # 2 12 Sewer Treatment Plant Operator 12 *Equipment Operator 12 Garbage Truck Driver 11 *Maintenance Man # 1 11 Maintenance Man # 2 10 Engineering Aid # 3 10 Sanitation Department Helper 10 Draftsman 8 PARK, RECREATION & CEMETERY Foreman 12 Leadman 11 Caretaker 10 JANITORIAL: Custodian # 1 9 FINANCE: Senior Clerk 9 Clerk # 3 6 Clerk # 2 4 Clerk # 1 2 MUNICIPAL COURT: Municipal Court Clerk 9 Deputy Municipal Court Clerk 4 Not more than 1/3 of workers can be in each of these classifications. Section 2. Employees will be reviewed after being in each step one year. A written review shall be made of each employee by his Department Head whenever he is eligible for advancement. If an increase is not recommended, the reasons shall be discussed with the City Manager. If he concurs with the Department Head, the decision must be discussed with the employee who should be told of his next review date. Decisions can also be reviewed by the employee with the City Manager upon written request of the employee. At the discretion of the Department Head and City Manager, a new review date of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months may be designated when an increase is refused. Section 3. All compensation and wages shall be paid in twenty - four installments, such installments to be as nearly equal as the established accounting procedures of the City of Port Angeles shall permit, and shall be paid on the fifth and twentieth days of each month during the year 1976, or as soon thereafter as the established accounting procedures of the City of Port Angeles shall permit, except that the 24th installment shall be paid on the last working day of December, 1976.
