HomeMy WebLinkAbout1869• t ORDINANCE NO. /S16 9 AN ORDINANCE establishing and setting salaries for management, technical and non -union personnel employed by the City of Port Angeles for the year 1976 and providing for the payment thereof. WHEREAS it is necessary that a salary schedule be establish at this time for supervisory, technical and non -union personnel employed by the City of Port Angeles and providing for the payment thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES as follows: Section 1. That as of January 1, 1976, the salaries for management (supervisory), technical and non- -union employees of the City of Port Angeles shall be as set forth in Schedule A attached to this ordinance and made a part thereof by reference. Section 2. All of the salaries set forth in Schedule A shall be paid in twenty -four (24) installments, such installments to be as nearly equal as the established accounting procedure of the City of Port Angeles will permit, and shall be paid on the fifth (5th) and twentieth (20th) days of each month during the year 1976, or as soon thereafter as the established accounting procedure of the City of Port Angeles will permit, except that the 24th installment shall be paid on the last working day of December 1976. Section 3. Any of the salaries set forth in Schedule A may be reviewed as of three, six or nine month intervals at the dis- cretion of the City Manager and City Council. Section 4. All management (supervisory), technical and non -union personnel employed by the City of Port Angeles shall be • entitled to all benefits in addition to their salaries (ordinarily referred to as "fringe benefits ") as the union employees working in the same department in which they are employed including vaca- tion time, sick leave, holidays, medical insurance and longevity benefits. Longevity benefits shall also be extended to the Equip- ment Rental Superintendent. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles and approved by its Mayor at a regular meeting of the Council held on the 6th day of January, 1976.
