HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024j 1 2 3 • 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ORDINANCE NO. a4.211 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles amending certain sections of Ordinance No. 2009 with reference to the City Employees position classification and pay plan for the year 1979. WHEREAS, the positions of Senior Engineering Specialist, Assistant Building Inspector, Draftsman (Public Works), and Assistant Planner are, by prior negotiations, now included in the bargaining unit covered by Local #1619, Washington State Council of City and County Employees, and subject to the agreement between that union and the City of Port Angeles dated January 30, 1978; WHEREAS, the compensation for these positions for the fiscal year 1979, are subject to negotiations between the City and Union Local #1619 in order that the wage plan for newly represented positions aligned with previously established salary policies for the bargaining unit; WHEREAS, the City and Local Union #1619 have agreed upon and accepted a new salary range and step plan through negotiation; and, an Addendum to the 1978 -1980 Agreement to incorporate the new wage plan will be executed by both parties; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Administrative, . Technical and Clerical Personnel (non- union) employed by the City of Port Angeles for the year 1979 and providing for the payment thereof. WHEREAS, it is necessary that a salary and fringe benefit schedule be established at this time for Administrative, Technical, and Clerical (non- union) personnel employed by the City of Port Angeles and providing for the payment thereof; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary that a clear delineation be made between the management group and union personnel; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Angeles do ordain as follows: Section 1. That as of January 1, 1979, the salaries for Administrative, Technical and Clerical (non- union) personnel shall be as set forth in Schedule A attached to this ordinance and made part thereof by reference. Section 2. A11 of the salaries set forth in Schedule A shall be paid in bi- weekly installments to be as nearly equal as the established accounting procedure of the City of Port Angeles will permit, and shall be paid within five working days after the close of the established payroll period for each month during the year, or as spon thereafter as, the established accounting procedure of the City of Port Angeles will permit, except that the last installment shall be paid on the last working day of December. Section 3.
