Home My WebLink About2108• • /r,i3,$a ORDINANCE NO. 04/4' AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles amending Ordinance No. 1885, the Compre- hensive Plan for the City of Port Angeles, permitting non - specialized personal ser- vices operations in neighborhood shopping areas or pre- existing commercial strips. WHEREAS, the City of Port Angeles adopted a Comprehensive Plan on May 6, 1965, by Ordinance No. 1560; which was amended by Ordinance No. 1783 on March 6, 1973; and which was amended and up- dated by Ordinance No. 1885 on July 6, 1976; and amended by Ordin- ance No. 1893 on October 5, 1976; and amended by Ordinance No. 1965 on March 21, 1978; and amended by Ordinance No. 2069 on March 18, 1980; and WHEREAS, the requirements of Chapter 35A.63 RCW and Chap- ter 43.21C RCW have been met and a public hearing has been held by the City Council following public notice; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that the Comprehensive Plan be amended by adding a policy permitting non - specialized personal services operations in neighborhood shopping areas or pre - existing commercial strips; and WHEREAS, conditions have changed regarding commercial de- velopment in the City since the adoption of Ordinance No. 1885; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best in- terests of the City of Port Angeles; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES as follows: Section 1. The Comprehensive Plan for the City of Port Angeles be and it is hereby amended by adding to Page 36 a section to be known as Commercial Policy No. 18, providing as follows: "Non- specialized personal services operations that could serve primarily a neighborhood could be located in neighborhood shopping areas or pre- existing commercial strips."
