Parrish, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: Craig M ler, City AtTorney ISHED: o2eirauXU4 023,/982. MEMO: February 10, 1982 TO: Dave Flodstrom, Mayor Duncan Councilmembers FROM: Rob Orton, Director of Finance RE: Implementation of PUD Utility Tax Administrative Services The attached ordinance amends our existing utility and franchise ordinance and implements the 3% tax on Public Utility District sales within the City limits. The Council approved this action in January. Incidentally, the Public Utility District has indicated that annual sales from services within the City amount to about $78,000 at current rates. This means that we will obtain between $2,000 and $3,000 a year in revenue from this resource. The tax, of course, will be sensi- tive to increases as Public Utility District rates increase to customers within the City limits. I would hope the Council would act favorably upon the attached ordinance. Thank you.
