ATTEST: J C.J. /G Marian C. Parrish, City Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: Craig L /Miller, City Attorney PUBLISHED: W/71./.4ALCee,%_. A Y 0 R MEMO: October 15, 1982 TO: City Manager and City C FROM: Public Works Department SUBJECT: Revised Fee for Buildin Q rmit Renewal Under the existing language of the Uniform Building Code, a person must pay one -half the amount of the original permit fee to renew his permit if it has expired. We have had some requests from citizens to revise the renewal amount. More specifically, some people are doing their own work and are finding it diffi- cult to complete the work within the time originally specified. We recommend passage of an ordinance revising the renewal fee to one -half the amount of the original permit fee with a maximum of thirty dollars ($30). This process is primarily a paper process and this fee would be adequate to cover costs. JNF/ j g
