HomeMy WebLinkAbout2286ORDINANCE NO. (� AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles reclassifing approximately 7.2 acres south of Rayonier Mill in White Creek Ravine from PBP to M -2. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Port Angeles has held a public hearing and recorded its recommendation to the City Council in the Planning Commission Minutes of January 11, 1984; and WHEREAS, the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act have been met; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after a public hearing, finds that said rezone would be in the best interests of the City and of its citizens and in keeping with the Comprehensive Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES as follows: Section 1. The Official Zoning Map, Ordinance No. 2158, and Ordinance No. 1709 are hereby amended to change the zoning of the following described property from PBP, Public Buildings and Parks, to M -2, Heavy Industrial: That area lying south of the north line of vacated Water Street, 40' northeasterly of the northeasterly edge of Ennis Creek, north of the north line of the vacated alley in Block 154 of Frank Chambers Subdivi- sion and northwesterly of the right -of -way easement conveyed to the City of Port Angeles; all being more particularly described as follows: Lots 7 through 12 inclusive, Block 165; Lots 1 through 6 inclusive and the portion of Lot 13 northerly and easterly of a line 40' east of the northeasterly edge of Ennis Creek and Lots 14 through 18, inclusive, Block 164; all in Frank Chambers Subdivision of Suburban Lots 37 and 38; Lots 1 through 5, inclusive, and that por- tion of Lot 6 and Lot 10 lying northerly and easterly of a meander line 40' east of the northeasterly edge of Ennis Creek, Block 1; that portion of Lots 1 through 5 inclusive, lying northerly and easterly of a meander line 40' east of the northeasterly edge of Ennis Creek, Block 2; and that portion of Lot 1 lying northerly and easterly of a meander line 40' east of the northeast- erly edge of Ennis Creek, Block 4; all in Cain's Sub- division of Suburban Lot 36. -1- • • ALSO: That portion of Lot 9, Block 153, and Lots 1 through 6, Block 154, lying northerly of the northerly line of the vacated alley of said Block 154, northeast- erly of said northeasterly edge of Ennis Creek and northwesterly of the northwesterly line of the right - of -way eastment conveyed to the City of Port Angeles on July 24, 1967, recorded in Volume 303, Page 68, on August 18, 1967, under Auditor's File No. 375004, records of Clallam County; all in Frank Chambers Sub- division of Suburban Lots 37 and 38. All of the above described lots include all vacated streets and alleys adjacent, and all are in the Town - site of Port Angeles. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the westerly 40 feet of said parcel. Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Clallam County Auditor.
