BACKGROUND: Wednesday, November 12, 1986, the Planning Commis- sion unanimously recommended the property be rezoned from RMF, Residential Multi- Family, to OC, Office Commercial, citing the following findings: 1. Given the lack of large parcels of commercial land and the surrounding uses, the rezone to Office Commercial is an appropriate use of land in the City. 2. The central location of the parcel will provide access to clients, including senior citizens. 3. The Office Commercial District is similar to surrounding uses and compatible with adjacent residential development. A copy of the Department Report is attached for easy reference. ACTION: Following the public hearing, the Council could enter- tain a motion to adopt the attached Ordinance. Staff will be available to respond to questions. PDC:LM Attachments
