Knutson, City Attorney PUBLISHED: March 1, 1990 -2- MEMORANDUM April 7, 1987 TO: Mayor Whidden and City Council Members FROM: Administrative Services Department RE: Cost of Living Salary Increase for Employees Represented by IBEW Local #997 The existing labor agreement between the City of Port Angeles and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #997, covering April, 1985 - March, 1988, provides for a wage increase effective April 1, 1987. Per the agreement, this increase is equal to 80% of the November, 1985, to November, 1986, Seattle CPI -W index with a minimum of 2% and a maximum of 6 %. Since the Consumer Price Index was less than 2 %, the minimum provision is applicable with an effective date of April 1, 1987. This in- crease is consistent with the salary increases granted effective January 1, 1987, for the Firefighters Union and Teamsters Union, respectively. The necessary Ordinance amending the salary for the classes represented by IBEW Local #997 is attached for the City Council's consideration.
