HomeMy WebLinkAbout2556ORDINANCE NO. 2556 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles establishing a Drug Task Force Fund and a Solid Waste Financial Assurance Fund for the administration of municipal funds. WHEREAS, State regulations require the City develop a financial assurance account to cover the cost of closure and post- closure for the Port Angeles Landfill; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an interlocal agreement, the City of Port Angeles is participating with Clallam County and the Cities of Forks and Sequim in the activities of the Clallam County Drug Task Force; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, as follows: Section 1. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for money set aside for closure and post - closure expenses for the Port Angeles Landfill. Said fund shall be entitled "Solid Waste Financial Assurance Fund ". Section 2. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for the fiscal administration and accounting for moneys for the operation of the Clallam County Drug Task Force. Section 3. The Director of Administrative Services is charged with the administration of the funds created in Sections 1 and 2 above. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after date of publication. -1- PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said Council held the 19th day of December, 1989.
