HomeMy WebLinkAbout2590ORDINANCE NO. 2590 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles rezoning property adjacent to the Tumwater Truck Route from RS -9, Single - Family Residential, to LI, Light Industrial. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Port ngeles has held a public hearing and recorded its recommendation o the City Council in the Planning Commission minutes of April 11, 1990; and WHEREAS, the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act have been met; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after a public hearing, finds that said rezone would be consistent with changes in circumstances since the area was originally zoned; would be in the best interests of the City and of its citizens; and would be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES as follows: Section 1. The Official Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1709 are hereby amended to change the zoning of the following described property from RS -9, Single- Family Residential, to LI, Light Industrial: Beginning at the quarter corner of Sections 8 and 9, Township 30 North, Range 6 W.W.M., thence North 2 °30'4" East along the West boundary of Section 9, a distance of 657.41 feet to its intersection with the southerly line of the Townsite of Port Angeles; thence South 73 °28'28" East along said southerly Townsite line a distance of 661.55 feet to its intersection with the west right -of -way of Ananda Road, said intersection also being the true point of beginning; thence continuing south 73 °28'28" East along said line a distance of 1002.85 feet, to an intersection with the east right -of -way line of the Tumwater Truck Route; thence southwesterly along said right -of -way line 451.84 feet to the intersection with the easterly right -of -way line of platted Croft Street, Cooper's Addition to the Townsite of Port Angeles, per map recorded in Volume 2 -1- of Plats, page 8, records of Clallam County, Washington; thence southerly along said easterly right -of -way line a distance of 498.93 feet to an intersection with the north right -of -way of SR 101; thence westerly along said right -of -way to its intersection with the west right -of -way of the Tumwater Truck Route, thence northeasterly along said right - of -way to its intersection with the right - of -way of Ananda Road; thence northerly along said west right -of -way to the point of beginning. (A vicinity map outlining the boundaries of the property to be rezoned is attached as Exhibit "A ".) Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attach a copy of this Ordinance to the Official Zoning Map and to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Clallam County Auditor.
