HomeMy WebLinkAbout2690ORDINANCE NO. 2690 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, revising the secondary sewer assessment for new connections to the City sewer system and amending Ordinance No. 2572 as amended and Chapter 13.66 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. WHEREAS, due to the increase in amounts paid by utility customers into the sewer improvement fund for the design and construction of a secondary sewer treatment plant, it is necessary and appropriate to increase the levy upon owners of property newly connecting to the City's sewer system to more accurately reflect their proportionate share of such secondary sewer treatment plant costs as provided in RCW 35.92.025 and RCW 82.02.020; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, WASHINGTON DOES ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance 2572 as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance 2644 and PAMC 13.66.020 are hereby amended to read as follows: 13.66.020 Secondary Sewer Assessment - Amount. The secondary sewer assessment shall be $386 $410 multiplied by the equivalent water meter factor when the real property to be served by the connection to the City's sewer system is inside the City limits, and shall be $579 $615 multiplied by the equivalent water meter factor when such real property is outside the City limits. Section 2 - Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect May 15, 1992. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said Council held on th1 5th d of May, 1992. The assessment is $410 multiplied by the equivalent water meter factor when the real property to be served by the connection to the City's sewer system is inside the City limits and $615 multiplied by the equivalent water meter factor when the real property is outside the City limits. This Ordinance amends Ordinance No. 2572 as amended and Chapter 13.66 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. The full text of the Ordinance is available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be mailed upon request.
