HomeMy WebLinkAbout2791ORDINANCE NO. 2791 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles setting the interest rate for delinquent utility bills and amending Ordinance No. 2693 and Section 3.64.075 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance 2693 and Section 3.64.075 PAMC are hereby amended to read as follows: 3.64.075 Delinquent Utility Bills - Penalty. All billings for utility services remaining unpaid after the thirtieth day after the mailing of the bill shall be assessed a pcnalty of four perccnt (4 %) interest at the rate of one percent (1 %) per month on the unpaid balance, commencing with the date of delinquency. The minimum penalty assessed shall be two dollarc fifty cents ($.50) . Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective five days after the date of publication by summary. Craig D. nutson, City Attorney PUBLISHED January 23, 1994 (By Summary) 6 -94 1 Summaries of Ordinances Adopted by the Port Angeles City Council on January 18. 1994 Ordinance No. 2791 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles sets the interest rate for delinquent utility bills at one percent (1 %) per month on the unpaid balance and amends Ordinance No. 2693 and Section 3.64.075 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. Ordinance No. 2792 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes a fee for field collection of delinquent utility bills in the amount of $22.00 and amends Ordinance No. 2055, as amended, and Section 13.16.050 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. This Ordinance shall be effective March 1, 1994. The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These Ordinances shall take effect five days after the date of publication of these summaries. Publish: January 23. 1994 Becky J.
