HomeMy WebLinkAbout2804ORDINANCE NO. 2804 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, annexing certain territory to the City of Port Angeles. WHEREAS, RCW 35A.14.300 authorizes the legislative body of unicipal Code cities, by majority vote, to annex certain territory outside the city limits, whether contiguous or non - contiguous, for unicipal purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it to be in the best interest and for the public benefit to annex a certain parcel of property owned by the City of Port Angeles for the municipal purpose of constructing and maintaining a law enforcement firing range thereon; and WHEREAS, the property to be annexed is within the Clallam County Urban Growth Area for Port Angeles. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES, WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. The aforesaid findings, recitals and determinations are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects; all requirements of the law in regard to the annexation as per RCW 35A.14.300 having have been fully complied with. It is further determined that the below- described property is being annexed into the City of Port Angeles for municipal purposes, to -wit: to construct and maintain a law enforcement firing range, and such annexation to be effective on and after the approval, passage and publication of this ordinance; and on and after said date said property shall be and constitute a part of the City of Port Angeles and shall be subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force and effect; said property being described as follows: All of Blocks 5 and 8; Lots 36 -40, Block 6; Lots 1 -10 and 28 -40, Block 7; and streets and alley abutting; all in Phillip's Addition to Port Angeles, Washington, recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 5, records of Clallam County, WA. - 1 - Section 2 - Filing. A certified copy of this ordinance hall be filed with the Board of Clallam County Commissioners, tate of Washington, and as otherwise provided by law. Section 3 - Effective Date. Ordinance No. 2804 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles annexes certain territory to the City which is legally described as all of Blocks 5 and 8; Lots 36 -40, Block 6; Lots 1- 10 and 28 -40, Block 7; and streets and alley abutting; all in Phillip's Addition to Port Angeles, Washington, recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, page 5, records of Clallam County, WA. Ordinance No. 2805 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes regulations for the scheduling of permitted activities at the Vern Burton Memorial Community Center and amends Ordinance 2398, as amended, and Chapter 12.08 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be mailed upon request.
