HomeMy WebLinkAbout2890ORDINANCE NO. 2890 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, abolishing certain funds, establishing certain funds, repealing Ordinances No. 1474, No. 1550, Sections 2 and 3 of No. 1898, No. 2014, No. 2337, No. 2380, No. 2556, and No. 2623, and repealing Chapters 3.08, 3.16, 3.18, 3.19, 3.23, 3.25, and 3.42, and Sections 3.21.030 and 3.29.050, and establishing Chapter 3.15, of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES HEREBY ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Ordinance No. 1550 and Chapter 3.08 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Claims Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 2. Ordinance No. 1474 and Chapter 3.16 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Arterial Highway Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 3. Ordinance No. 1898 and Chapter 3.18 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Arterial Street Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 4. Ordinance No. 2014 and Chapter 3.19 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Corporation Yard Construction Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 5. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2380 and Section 3.21.030 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Rhodes Road Improvement Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 6. Ordinance No. 2337 and Chapter 3.23 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Fire Utility Boat Improvement Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 7. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2556 and Chapter 3.25 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Solid Waste Financial Assurance Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 8. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2623 and Section 3.29.050 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Gift Catalog Fund, are hereby repealed. Section 9. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1898 and Chapter 3.42 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, establishing the Water Revenue Bond Fund, 1960, are hereby repealed. Section 10. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for the fiscal administration and accounting of revenue received from the local option sales tax for criminal justice purposes. Said fund shall be entitled "Criminal Justice Fund ". Section 11. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for the fiscal administration and accounting for donations and expenditures associated with Lincoln Park and related facilities. Said fund shall be entitled "Lincoln Park Improvement Fund ". Section 12. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for the fiscal administration and accounting for donations and disbursement of monies to assist low income utility customers in paying their utility bills. Said fund shall be entitled "Utility Voluntary Contribution Program Fund ". Section 13. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for the fiscal administration and accounting for bond proceeds and construction of a new library and related facilities. Said fund shall be entitled "Library Construction Fund ". Section 14. There is hereby established in the City Treasury a fund for the fiscal administration and accounting of Federal grant funds that are loaned or granted as financial assistance to low income homeowners. Said fund shall be entitled "Housing Rehabilitation Program Fund ". Section 16. The Director of Finance is charged with the administration of the funds created in Sections 10 through 15 above, which sections shall be codified in Chapter 3.15 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. Section 17. Severability. If any provisions of this Ordinance, or its application to any person or circumstances, is held invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance, or application of the provisions of the Ordinance to other persons or circumstances, is not affected. Section 18 - Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after the date of publication. Ordinance No. 2890 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles abolishes certain funds, establishes certain funds, repeals Ordinances No. 1474, No. 1550, Sections 2 and 3 of No. 1898, No. 2014, No. 2337, No. 2380, No. 2556, and No. 2623, and repeals Chapters 3.08, 3.16, 3.18, 3.19, 3.23, 3.25, and 3.42, and Sections 3.21.030 and 3.29.050, and establishes Chapter 3.15 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. Ordinance No. 2891 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles revises the Civil Service Policies related to the number of candidates certified for possible appointment for entry-level positions by correcting a mistake in Ordinance No. 2887 and amends Chapter 2.22 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
