HomeMy WebLinkAbout2904ORDINANCE NO. 2904 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles rezoning property throughout the City in accordance with the public interest and the Comprehensive Plan and amending the Official Zoning Map, Ordinance No. 2881. WHEREAS, on June 28, 1994, the City Council adopted a new Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, on June 20, 1995, the City Council amended its Comprehensive Plan in accordance with the State's Growth Management Act; and WHEREAS, the Growth Managment Act provides that the Comprehensive Plan is the primary statement of City policy from which other policies and regulations are derived and requires development regulations such as the Zoning Code to be amended consistent with the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the rezones adopted in this ordinance will achieve the necessary consistency between the Zoning Code and the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the rezones adopted in this ordinance are in the public interest and are supported by the findings and conclusions that have been made by the City Council simultaneously with the adoption of this ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. The Official Zoning Map (Ordinance No. 2881) is hereby amended by rezoning of the property described in Sections 2 through 19 of this ordinance. Section 2. Section 3. Those portions of the following property which exist below the top of the bank of the Mill Creek Ravine are hereby rezoned from RS -7, Residential Single Family, to PBP, Public Buildings: Lots 4 - 7 of the City Lights Subdivision; Section 4. Ordinance No. 2904 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles rezones property throughout the City in accordance with the public interest and the Comprehensive Plan and amends the Official Zoning Map, Ordinance No. 2881. Ordinance No. 2905 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles establishes City horizontal and vertical datums for surveying and mapping purposes and repeals Ordinance 1408. The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These Ordinances shall take effect five days after the date of publication of these summaries. Becky J.
