ORDINANCE NO. 3287
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, adopting the
2006 editions of the International Building, Mechanical, Fire and
Residential Codes, the 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code, the 2006
Washington State Energy Code, the 2006 Washington State
Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code with amendments and
appendices.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance 2995, as amended, and the Port Angeles Municipal Code are hereby
amended by amending PAMC 14.01.010 to read as follows:
14.01.010 Construction Codes Defined. Building construction within the City of Port
Angeles shall be governed by the following codes, laws, and ordinances, as adopted and amended
in Title 14 PAMC, which shall be collectively known as the construction codes of the City of Port
Angeles-.

Section 2. Ordinance 2995, as amended, and the Port Angeles Municipal Code are hereby
amended by amending PAMC 14.03.010 to read as follows:

14.03.010 Construction Codes Adopted. Pursuant to Chapters 19.27 and 19.27A RCW
and Title 51 WAC, the following Codes are adopted.
A. The 2006 International Building Code, published by the International Code
Council, including ICC A117.1 amendments and amendments to IEBC as Appendix M, as
amended by the Washington State Building Code Council and published as Chapter 51 -50
Washington Administrative Code, except as amended in Chapter 14.03 PAMC.
B. The 2006 International Mechanical Code published by the International Code
Council, including 2006 IFGC, 2006 NFPA 54 and 2004 NFPA 58, as amended by the
Washington State Building Code Council and filed as Chapter 51 -52 Washington Administrative
Code.
C. The 2006 International Fire Code, published by the International Code Council,
as amended by the Washington State Building Code Council and filed as Chapter 51 -54
Washington Administrative Code, except as amended in Chapter 14.21 PAMC;
D. The 2006 International Residential Code, published by the International Code
Council, including Appendix F and new Emergency Rule affecting 2006 IRC, Section R302, as
amended by the Washington State Building Code Council and filed as Chapter 51 -51 Washington
Administrative Code;
E. The 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code, , and 2006 Uniform Plumbing
Code Standards, , published by the International Association of Plumbing and
Mechanical Officials, as amended by the Washington State Building Code Council and filed as
Chapter 51 -56 Washington Administrative Code;
F. The 2006 Washington State Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code, as adopted
by the Washington State Building Code Council and filed as Chapter 51 -13 Washington
Administrative Code;
G. The 2006 Washington State Energy Code, 1997 Sccond Edition, as amended by
the Washington Building Code Council, and filed as Chapter 51 -11 Washington Administrative
Code.
H. The Uniform Sign Code, 1997 Edition, published by the International Conference
of Building Officials;
I. The Uniform Co& or the Alrattincnt o€- Batigcrous Buildings, 1997 Edition,
publishcd by 11atio�ra1 C— an€crcnce of Building Officials.
H. The Uniform Code for Building Conservation, 1997 Edition, published by the
International Conference of Building Officials.
KJ. The Washington State Historic Building Code, First Edition, published by the
Washington State Building Code Council as Chapter 51 -19 Washington Administrative Code.
EK. The Uniform Building Code, 1997 Edition, published by the International
Conference of Building Officials, for the limited purpose to enforce the Uniform Code for the
Abatement of Dangerous Buildings referenced above.

Section 4. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are authorized to make
necessary corrections to this ordinance including, but not limited to, the correction of the
scrivener's /clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers and any
references thereto.
Section 5 - Severability. If any provisions of this Ordinance or its applications to any
person or circumstances is held to be invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance or application of
the provisions of the Ordinance to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
Section 6 - Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifically
delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum. This ordinance shall take
effect five days after its publication by summary.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Port Angeles at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 3rd day of July, 2007.

Ordinance No. 3285
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, approves the final plat of the
Heritage Court Subdivision.
Ordinance No. 3286
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, amends Ordinance 3259, as
amended, to revise the compensation for the street vacation authorized.
Ordinance No. 3287
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, adopts the 2006 editions of the
International Building, Mechanical, Fire and Residential Codes, the 2006 Uniform
Plumbing Code, the 2006 Washington State Energy Code, the 2006 Washington State
Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code with amendments and appendices.
Ordinance No. 3288
This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, provides for the adoption,
administration and enforcement of the 2006 Edition of the International Property
Maintenance Code; repeals ordinances in conflict therewith, and amends Chapter 14 of
the Port Angeles Municipal Code.
The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be
mailed upon request. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
These Ordinances shall take effect five days following the date of publication by summary.
