HomeMy WebLinkAbout3311• • ORDINANCE NO. 3 311 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, establishing a conservation fund for the administration of funds used in the conservation programs which may be authorized by the City Council, and creating a new Chapter 3.25 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. • WHEREAS, the City wishes to provide for the proper administration of funds for conservation programs which may be authorized by the Council of the City of Port Angeles; and WHEREAS, the most efficient method to do so is to establish a fund in the City treasury for the fiscal administration and accounting of monies received or appropriated for funding of conservation programs. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Port Angeles, Washington, do ordain as follows: Section 1. Title 3, of the Port Angeles Municipal Code, Revenue and Finance, shall be amended by creating a new Chapter 3.25 to read as follows: Conservation Fund. 3.25.010 Established 3.25.020 Disbursement 3.25.030 Administration of Funds 3.25.010 Established. There is hereby established in the City treasury a special revolving fund for the fiscal administration and accounting of monies received or appropriated for funding conservation programs which may be authorized by City Council. 3.25.020 Disbursements. Disbursements shall be made out of said fund upon the request of the City Manager or Director of Public Works and Utilities for payment, reimbursement or guarantee of costs or expenses for conservation programs as authorized by ordinance or resolution of the City Council. 3.25.030 Administration of Funds. The Director of Finance is charged with the administration of said fund. -1- • • Section 2. Severability. If any provisions of this ordinance or applications to any person or circumstances is held to be invalid, the remainder of the ordinance or application of the provisions of the ordinance to other persons or circumstances is not affected. Section 3. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are authorized to correct scrivener's /clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers and any references thereto. Section 4. This Ordinance exercises authority granted exclusively to the City Council and is not subject to referendum. It shall be in force and take effect 5 (five) days after publication according to law. Ordinance No. 3311 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, establishes a conservation fund for the administration of funds used in the conservation programs which may be authorized by the City Council, and creates a new Chapter 3.25 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. Ordinance No. 3312 This Ordinance of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, revises taxes levied on telecommunications businesses by amending Chapter 5.80 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. This Ordinance shall take effect January 1, 2008. The full texts of the Ordinances are available at City Hall in the City Clerk's office or will be mailed upon request.
