Members present 'Were Anderson, Hankins, Hunt, Reiners and Strange. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. The first of two scheduled hea~ings of this meeting was that of James Hargreaves of 310 West 3rcLStreet. Mr.. Hargreaves asked, for a variance from the Zoning Ordinarice which would permit him to conduct a small Antique Shop, specialIzing in glass and china ware, wi th nothing to be displayed outside.. The .building in which the propsed shop is to be located is l~ated on the rear of the lot and barely visiable from the street.' Neighbors present expressed approval of the request and with the understanding, no objection~ able features such as Signsl etc. be employed, the Planning Com- mission recommends to the C ty council that the application be approved. The second hearing was on the ret~tion of a mobile home located at 926 East 10th Street. The application was from Mamie Clark (mother-in-law) of Larry Winters and is due to health hard- ship. Mrs Clark being 80 years of age. This is the location where another application had caused'considerable objection in the neighborhood. However by 11D.1tual agreement on changing location of the trailer which wIll remove it from obstructing the view of others, the area appeared to offer no objection. The Planning Commission therefore recommends to the Council the application be approved. . The Chairman read a copy of a letter to City Manager Herrman from M.G.Poole with reference to delivery of 25 copies of the Comprehensive Plan. Approximate date January 25, 1965. Mrs. 0.. H. Anderson of 219 South Laurel was present to disouss locating a new trailer home on her Bon-In-laws property at 422 Vashon Street. No action taken Mrs. .Anderson was advised we would call her at a later date when a policy had been adopted. A dis- cussion of a variance from the zoning regu1ations to allow the con- struction of a garage at the A.L.Tackett home,lOll East 10th Street, was held with Mr. & Mrs. Tackett. on aavice of the commission their application will be held until a later date. A letter from aayonier Inc. also (School Dist. #21 asking for a zoning reclassification on Suburban Lot 27E. The change asked for was from First Residence to Fir~t or Second Business.
