Meet1ng held at the Roo~evelt Junior Hiqh School Auditorium. Members present were Anderson, Driscoll, Hanki.ns, Hunt ~nd StrAnge. Headed by Mayor Charles Willson, all meQbers of the Port Angeles City Council werp. present, tOlether with Director of Public Works John 8. Warder, Asst. City Engineer Robert Willson and Water Superintendent Paul Reed. Re~ding of the minutes of the previous meeting was deferred until a later date. The Chairmar. opened the hp.aring wit~ a brief explanation of thp purpnf;es ~nd necessity of a comprehensive rlan. He tten introduc~d Mr. ~. ~. Poole of M. G. P~ole and Associates, Professional Plannp.rs, who had been retained by the City to prepare and submit a recommend~d plan. Using two large wall maps of the City which had been prepAred b; U-.e flrm showing proposed Land Use, Traffic Circulation, Community Facilities, Population Densities, etc., Mr. Poole spoke at len~th on each phase of the plan, aftpT which t~e meeting was declared opened for qupstions from any of those present. Durin) a half hour question and answer period, several details were explained to the satisfaction of those pre~~nt 8~d apparently exhaust- ing all thoughts and ideas.
