Minutes of the regular meeting of the Port Angeles Planning Commission,
March 20, 1962.
Members present were Hunt, Hankins, Anderson, Driscoll and Strange. Also
present was City Engineer John Warder.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
First order of business was consideration of application of Mr. Carl
Daugaard for a variance of zonin classification on Lots -5-6, Block
William & Cramer Subddvision, being at the corner of 2nd and ashington
Streets. The application is for a change in zoning classification'from
second class residence to second class business. After a discussion on
the merits of the proposal, in which it was agreed that the request should
be considered, it was decided a hearing should be held and the date of
April 3rd was set for same.
A request of Mr. Thomas Hawkins, corner of 5th and "En Streets to allow
a second house to be built on the double corner he now owns, but on which
the present house is so situated that it occupies more than half of the
area, was tabled until Mr. Hawkins could bring in more data and a layout
of his proposal by which a decision could be made.
There was a general discussion of various matters, none of which required
action at this time.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
