had decided to not make application for var~~nca and would try to work

Petition of Mrs McHenry and others for change of zoning classifaction
from 2nd class residence to 1st class residence was considered. Area
of 9th and Washington Streets. Matter was tabled tempararily to be
included at a late~date with other contemplated changes in the zoning
ordinance.
The Commission noted with approval the work of the City in preparing
the area between the City Jail and City Light Dept. Garage for off-
street parking and further noted the extensive use already underway
in the use of this area by the public.
A verbal request by Mr. Carl Larsen at 305 East 12th Street for a
variance from z~ning to permit the construction of a two story garage
with living quarters overhead was disap.rooved. Chairman was instructed
to so notify Mr. Larsen.
A request from Mr. M. G. Pool of the County Planning division for
permission to meet with our Commission and explain the proposed plan
in which they would like the City to participate was discussed. It was
suggested Mr. Pool be invited to appear at our next regular meeting
May 16th. It appears this would not delay matters as no monies were set
up in this years budget for that purpose.
It was suggested that as soon as proposed changes in the zoning ordinance
could be worked out, that a new series of zoning pamphlets be printed
as we are out of same at present.
No further business appearing, meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
