HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 06/07/1966 . . . Minutes of the regular meeting of the Port Angeles Planning Commission June 7th, 1966. Members present were Anderson, Driscoll, Dilling, Hunt, Treat and Strange. Also present were Director of Public Works John B. Warder and Building Inspector Robert Willson. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. First order of business was a scheduled hearing on an application for a variance from local zoning regulations by Port AngeLes Telecable. The request is for permission to construct a smail utility bUiLding on property in a First Residential zone located at approximately 1116 East Park Ave. The building to house te!ecable equipment is to replace and enclose a smal! wooden structure already on the property_ The proposed building is only 12' x 16' in size to be constructed of concrete blocks and will be a decided improvement to the neighborhood. No protests were filed. After a brief discussion a motion was passed recommending to the Council the application be approved. . Next under consideration was a request from the Clallam County Camp Fire Girls Inc. for permission to construct and identification sign 4 x a feet on their leased property within Jesse Webster Park. The sign to be rustic in manner with the name of the Council and its insigne facing 4th Street. A motion was passed recommending to the City Council the request b. approved. A generai discussion of the proposed zoning ordinance was next in order, with several 5uJ~estions being made to clarify certain items some of which are not covered. Due note Kas made of several proposals to be taken up at the time of final consideration. No further business appearing, meeting adjourned at 9 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Fred C.
