ROLL CALL Members Present: Lorraine Ross, Ted Puckett, J~ Hulett, James Hallett and Donna Davison Members Absent: Gary Cissel Staff Present: Paul D. Carr, Dan Van Hemert, Gary Braun III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Meeting of June 12, 1985 Donna Davison noted that she had abstained from the vote on the Temporary Use Permit for Kenneth Gilbertson, and moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Jim Hulett seconded the motion which passed unanimously. . IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS: SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PERMIT - SMA 85{5)69 - BRITISH PETROLEUM, NORTH AMERICA PETROLEUM, INC.: Request for a Shoreline Permit to allow construction of a float, two dolphins, anchor piles and a gangway ra.:np connected to an existing wharf at the property located directly east of Crown Zellerbach on Ediz Hook Dan Van Hemert reviewed the staff memo. Chairman Glass opened the public hearing. Ron Winterfeld, representing Western Transpo, was available to answer questions. Chairman Glass closed the public hearing. Jim Hulett moved to re-affirm the Planning Commission recommendation from the previous meeting I to approve the permit. Ted Puckett seconded the motion, which passed 5-0 with James Hallett abstaining. V. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC None VI. PLANNING REPORTS ~ Discussion of Residential Districts Paul Carr reviewed the Comprehensive Plan residential . . . June 26, 1985 Planning Commission policies emphasizing those that specifically addressed the evening I s discussion topics. During discussion of the proposed changes in the RS-7 and RS-9 Single- Family Residential districts, the Commission decided to investigate conversion of houses to duplexes under certain conditions, cluster zoning in developed and undeveloped residential areas, and allowing duplexes, tri-plexes and possibly four-plexes in the residential districts under certain conditions. The Commission also suggested addressing condominiums. The Commission decided to ask Ron Clarke, of the Washington Mobile Home Manufacturer's Association, to speak to the Commission. VII.
