~ Minutes of the special meeting of the Port Angeles Planning Commission,
October 4th 1962.

Members present were Driscoll, Hunt, mcGee, Reiners & Strange. Also
present was City Engineer John Warder.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
First order of busines was a hearin on the a lication of Mr. Llo <<
A. Lindberg requesting a variance from the zoning ordinance on 0 - 7,
Block 117, F. C. Richards, Jr. Subdivision, located on East 3rd Street
and East boundary of City. Mr. Lindbergts request was for permission
to build within l8 feet of the street margin instead of the 25 foot hold
back as per the zoning ordinance because of the declining slope on the
property. After discussion, not only of the topography of the area, but
also the location of the lot in question, it was unanimously agreed that
the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council, the request be
granted.
Two applications for approval oti subdivisions, one by Green Brothers for
re-platt of Lot 8, McGuires addition to Port Angeles and the other by
Mr. LeRo Kittselman and Mr. Jonnie Ke for re latt of Lots 23-2l-25 of
A derwood Acre Tracts were considered. ot~ applicants having comp eted
the necessary requirements such as rough grading of streets, sewer
installation, monument installation etc., a hearing on the applications
was set for. October l8th, 1962 and the building inspector requested to
post the property accordingly.
The group then entered into a discussion with Mr. M. G. Poole on the
planning survey he is making of our ~ and the sections of the work
our Commission may consider to aid inO~~~p\etion of the study in order
to be better prepared for the adoption of a new zoning ordinance.
No further business appearing, meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
