Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. . First order of business was a h~aring on the application of F. R. Richmond, for a variance from the zoning ordinance on west 22 teet of Lot 8, ail of Lots 9 and 10, Biock 3, Puget. Sound Cooperative Colony 2nd Addition located at 304 Vashon Str~et. The request is to permit relocation of an existing, non-conforming use (radio repair service) on the same property, within a First Residential Zone. Mr. Richmond being present, explained he wished to move to the rear of his property where he proposes to build a new building to be used as a garage and radio repair shop. The move would be an improvement in general over the present layout. There were no objections to the proposal and after further discussion a motion was passed recommending to the City Council the applicatIon be approved. Next was the hearing on the application of W. A. White for a variance from the Zoning Regulations on Lot 1 Broadway Addlton located at 616 ~ast Boulevard. The request is for permission to construct a carport closer to the property line than permitted in a First Residential Zone. There were no objections on file. The property is adjacent to the Ray Porsch property on which this type of request was granted recently. The problem in this area, is that there are no alleys which permit rear entrance to the property. After discussion a motion was passed recommending to the City Council the application be approved. There was general discussion on various matters, especially with reference to future Zoning. Meeting adjourned at B:30 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Fred C. Strange, Chairman Acting Secretary . ~
