Minutes of the r@gular meeting of the City of Port Angeles Planning
Commission, October 6th, 1953.
Members present were Reiners, Lamoureux, Hampton, McGee and Strange.
Also present was eity Engineer Ahivers.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
Inasmuch as this was the first meeting after summer vacation, the
chairman suggested a geneI91 discussion on planning matters to
ascertain if the members had any particular projects in mind.
City Engineer Ahlvers gave a report on the final cost of ~he arterial
highway project and the members were pleased to hear that the total
cost exceeded the bid price by only about l~%.
During the discussion, it was brought out that ~he Planning Commission,
for their records, should have some means of knowing the final action
taken by the City Council on matters such as recommendations made to
the Council by the Planning Commission.
A general discussion followed and no further business appearing the
Commission adjourned at ~:30 P.M.
