HomeMy WebLinkAbout000345 Amendment (2)AMENDMENT NO.3 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES AND LINDBERG & SMITH ARCHITECTS PROJECT PDO1-2011 THIS AMENDMENT NO. 3 is made and entered into this (a day of 2014, by and between the City of Port Angeles, a non -charter code city of the tate of Washington, (hereinafter called the "CITY") and LINDBERG & SMITH ARCHITECTS, INC., (hereinafter called the "CONSULTANT"). NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the representations and the terms, conditions, covenants and agreements set forth in the original AGREEMENT and this AMENDMENT, the parties hereto agree as follows: SECTION 1 The CITY entered into the existing AGREEMENT with the CONSULTANT on April 24, 2012, (the AGREEMENT). The CITY and the CONSULTANT amended the AGREEMENT on September 18, 2012 and August 20, 2013, (the AMENDMENTS). SECTION 2 I AMENDED SCOPE OF SERVICES A. The scope of the professional services is amended to include work as described in the attached Exhibit A to Amendment 3. II TIME OF PERFORMANCE A. The Added Services Scope of Work in Exhibit A of Amendment 3 shall be completed by June 30, 2015. B. The Time of Performance of the AGREEMENT dated April 24, 2012 is amended to read in its entirety: The AGREEMENT shall be effective on the date set forth in Amendment 3. This AGREEMENT will remain in force and effect until December 30, 2015. PDO1-2011 Amendment 3, Page 1 4/22/2014 III MAXIMUM COMPENSATION The CONSULTANT'S total compensation and reimbursement are stated in the attached Exhibit B to Amendment No. 3. The budget for Amendment No. 3 may be further adjusted by mutual agreement without an amendment to the Agreement, as long as the maximum compensation of $40,846.00 is not exceeded. SECTION 3 RATIFICATION Except as modified herein, the original AGREEMENT and AMENDMENTS are confirmed and ratified. Bloor, City Attorney LA - Title: Smith Architects PDO1-2011 Amendment 3, Page 2 4/22/2014 Exhibit A — Added Services Scope of Work The following items are to be revised in the design drawings and specifications: HVAC Generator: • Add a new charger for 75 kVA Generator, a specification item. • Revise the generator work, to use single existing circuit breaker on the generator and set separate generator power distribution. Routing is modified to be overhead in the building. Police Department Radio Room: • Add design for single modular UPS unit of at least 20kVA to replace the present IOkVA UPS unit a maintenance by-pass switch is required to switch between UPS and City power for servicing the UPS unit; UPS will be of the same make/model as the City IT UPS unit so a single set of spare parts can be maintained on site to accommodate both units. • Design replacement of HVAC system in Radio Room; include Fire/Smoke and Fire dampers on HVAC serving both PD Radio Room and PD 911 Room, as required. • Design extension of all walls to structure in Radio Room. Use 3-M fire wrap if sheetrock not feasible (there may be existing walls on two of the three sides). • Coordinate replacement of ceiling in the 911 room with fire rated tiles (unless they the fire rated tiles are existing). • Verify no horns for alarm systems are installed in dispatch. • Dispatch is a good area to install any system alarm lights as it is a 24/7 space. • Verify sprinkler heads are removed from both data rooms. • Verify separate zones are installed for ECARO-25 (HFC -125) clean fire suppression system for radio room and 911 room. • Require contractor to posted emergency response at all indicator lights as part of O&M and project labeling. • Require contractor to provide videos of all training classes provided to City so they will have them to be reviewed in future as needed. Citv Hall IT Room: • Add a HVAC room around the CRAC units and coordinate the design with Lindberg Architects. This room will be pressurized as a return plenum. Remove drops for return and run through the upper wall. Change CRAC units to front return. • Coordinate addition of new fire rated ceiling in data room, this design work by Lindberg. • Pan and/or shield all pipes in data room (except sprinkler piping). • Add design of redundant modular UPS units, (2N system) use similar for pencom data center. (2) 20 kVA units, PD01-2011 Amendment 3, Page 3 4/22/2014 • Add detailed notes for special caution in removal of ceiling mounted split AC unit. • Note relocation of FM 200 tanks required at the start of the project, verify if it is cost affective to upgrade to ECARO-25 for this space. • Require contractor to posted emergency response at all indicator lights as part of O&M and project labeling. • Require contractor to provide videos of all training classes provided to City so they will have thein to be reviewed in future as needed. • Add design with redundant UPS units for in room wiring additions for NEMA L6 -20R and 5-20R for rack mounted PDUs. Engineering Services: The following activities are added to the scope of the work to be performed: Related Engineering Services scope of services: Attend 2 site coordination meetings. Provide site survey for new design work: mechanical and electrical. Submit progress drawings, coordinate and address review comments. Design Electrical UPS systems. Design Mechanical System for Pencom Radio Room. Provide booklet specifications. Attend prebid meeting and respond to questions. Attend 6 site meetings during construction and furnish associated field reports. Provide final punchlist. Provide record drawings from contractor provided redlines and review O&M manuals.
