HomeMy WebLinkAbout3518 ORDINANCE NO. ,96)8 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, amending Title 13, Chapter 13.73 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code relating to utility rates. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 3215 as amended, and Port Angeles Municipal Code sections 13.73.400 and 13.73.4 10 are amended to read as follows: 13.73.400. Charges established. In accordance with the rate study presented to the City Council, effective january 4, 2 January 1, 2015 the base rates and fees for the Utility shall be as follows: User Classification Rate i Residential $61.4 69.05 per year, per unit Adult family homes* ' 003 $75.00 per year, per classification Assisted living facilities* 1$14.802 14 029 per year, per classification 24-Hour nursing facilities* 1$7,280 2 666 per year, per classification I Group homes* 1$2,279 753 per year, per classification Jail facilities* �e, 1 756 per year, per classification Schools* I$2,391 3 241 per year, per classification Commercial/Business $64.66 $74.92 per year, per unit City public areas 1115,241 18 673 per year, per classification * Rates for individual facilities do not include allowable exemptions and vary based upon their percentage of use within that classification. For individual facility rates, with allowable exemptions, see Exhibit A. * Effective ia,,,,afy 3, 2 4 January 1, 2016, the 204-3 2015 individual each rates established by section 13.73.400 and determined by Exhibit A, shall be increased by si-X five percent. * Effective January 1. 2017, the 2016 each rate established by section 13.73.400 and determined by Exhibit A, shall be increased by four percent. -1- 13.73.410 Medicaid adjustment. As provided in PAMC 13.73.300, the base rate established above shall be adjusted for persons who are medicaid eligible and who reside in a nursing facility, boarding home, adult family home, or receive in-home services. The method and amount of such adjustments are shown on the attached Exhibit A, which supercedes and replaces any prior Exhibit A, is hereby adopted and approved. Section 2 - Corrections. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are authorized to make necessary corrections to this ordinance including, but not limited to, the correction of the scrivener's/clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers and any references thereto. Section 3 - Severability. If any provisions of this Ordinance, or its application to any person or circumstances, are held invalid,the remainder of the Ordinance,or application of the provisions of the Ordinance to other persons or circumstances, is not affected. Section 4 -Effective Date. This Ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum. This ordinance shall take effect on November 15,241-5•after passage and publication of an approved 2U�U summary thereof consisting of the title.
