Lauridsen Boulevard• Port Angeles•WA•98362•(360)457-3532 December 6, 2014 City of Port Angeles City Council Lee Whetham PO Box 1150 Port Angeles, WA 98362 s > , Subject: Port Angeles Fine Arts Center,Annual Appeal Dear Lee Almost 30 years ago, Port Angeles was the beneficiary of truly generous gift when Esther Webster donated her unique home and wooded acres to create the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center (PAFAC). Thatgift has brought great pride to our community. Fine art exhibitions, education programs, special events, and walks through Webster's Woods are synonymous with the PAFAC. As someone who appreciates art,you know that these experiences open our minds to the power that art can bring to everyone! Our "Paint the Peninsula", Plein Air event will continue to remind us of the endless opportunities to capture the picturesque Olympic Peninsula on canvas! With your T financial support,we will continue to promote the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center and preserve our cultural heritage. Nowis the time foryou togive back. Your cash donation to our Annual Appeal will make a difference, because although not every young person will be an artist, they will be better students, employees, and citizens if they have opportunities to embrace creativity. In the past few years,we have introduced new art classes for students of all ages. Your support will provide additional fine art activities and events for the entire community. We are listening to you! The Can-Center newsletter will include more information to highlight our gallery exhibits, Peninsula artists, new programming and events each month. Also, watch for PAFAC on Facebook in the New Year! Thank you for your generous donation. You will enrich and encourage future generations to celebrate creativity, cultivate arts appreciation, and strengthen our community bonds.
