HomeMy WebLinkAbout3535 ORDINANCE NO. �)t) AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Angeles, Washington, relating to water rates, making changes to Title 13, Chapter 13.44 of the Port Angeles Municipal Code. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ANGELES DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ordinance No. 2181 as amended, and Port Angeles Municipal Code Chapter 13.44 is amended as follows: 13.44.020 Monthly residential metered rate—Within City. A. The following monthly customer charges are applicable to water service to single family residences within the corporate limits of the City of Port Angeles. For the purposes of this section, "single family residences" are defined as structures designed for occupancy by a single family only, containing a complete kitchen unit. Structures which are not "single family residences" include, but are not limited to, duplexes, fourplexes, apartments, and rooming houses. The charge is based upon the size of the meter, as specified below: Service Size 1 Customer Charge Per Month On Bills. with 5/8-inch meter $29.26 with 3/a-inch meter $31.78 1-inch meter j $35.44 1%-inch meter $65.64 2-inch meter $102.66 B. For all usage between-Septembef 1 and May 31-, metered consumption for up to 1,000 cubic feet shall be$2.37 27for each 100 cubic feet consumed. The City Clerk and the codifiers of this ordinance are authorized to make necessary corrections to this ordinance including, but not limited to, the correction of the scrivener's/clerical errors, references, ordinance numbering, section/subsection numbers and any references thereto. Section 3 - Severability. If any provisions of this Ordinance, or its application to any person or circumstances, are held invalid,the remainder of the Ordinance,or application of the provisions of the Ordinance to other persons or circumstances, is not affected. Section 4 -Effective Date. This Ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum. This ordinance shall take effect five days after its publication by summary thereof consisting of the title. This Ordinance shall be effective 5 (five) days after publication of summary, and compliance with Sections 2, 3 and 5 of the ordinance. This ordinance is not subject to referendum.
