Your leadership on community water fluoridation will not only benefit the residents of Port Angeles but also has the ability to influence the decision of other communities grappling with similar considerations. We train some of the nation's best dentists at the University of Washington; however, no amount of training can provide the same level of protection received from community water fluoridation. This benefit is especially important to children and older adults in communities where there are shortages to dental and medical providers. Thank you again for your decision to continue community water fluoridation in Port Angeles. Residents in Port Angeles and throughout Washington are proud of your leadership. Warm regards, Joel Berg, DDS, ds Professor and Dean University of Washington School of Dentistry Office of the Dean 1959 NE Pacific Street D322 Box 356365 Seattle, Washington 98195-6365 206.543.5982 Fax 206.616-2612 www.dental.washington.edu
