Re: Appointment to Parks,Recreation&Beautification Commission

At the January 3,2017 City Council Meeting, the Council voted on your appointment to
fill an unexpired term within.the Port Angeles Parks, Recreation& Beautification
Commission. The Council unanimously appointed you to the membership of the
Commission for the term January 19 2,017 through February 28, 2018.
During this time span, you will serve an important role to the community and the City
Council. The Commission gives advisory recommendations to the City Council on all
maths relating to parks, recreation, and beautification. Commission members meet.
with the Parks &Recreation Director on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m.,
in the 'Vern Burton Meeting Room . Your first meeting will be on January 19. The
Commission takes a summer hiatus during the months of June,July, and.August, as
only nine mandatary meetings must take place within the calendar year.
The Council and I look forward to your involvement in the deliberations of the
Commission as there are many extremely important issues being addressed in the near
future. We thank you in advance for your willingness to serve the citizens of Port
Angeles and the City Council.
