I'll be staying at the Sheraton Denver West next week (303-987-2000 or 800-325-3535, fax-
303-969-0263) During the day, you can probably reach me by calling Norm Hyndman (a Bureau of
Reclamation Engineer who moderates Value Engineering studies) at 303-445-3251 I will also try to check
my em ail at least once a day, so you can send stuff to me that way too

Just a reminder for the VE study starting this Monday on the Elwha
Surface Water Intake conceptual designs The VE study team will meet in
Room 1045 of Building 67, Denver Federal Center, 6th and Kipling in
La kewood , beginning at 8'00 am on Monday, January 12 Due to heightened
threat levels, be prepared to show a picture 10 at the gate as you enter
the Federal Center Gate 1 (off of Kipling, is the suggested gate)
Building 67 is the tallest building in the complex. There are signs to
point you to the building, and visitor parking on all sides Go to the
lower entrance and you will again be asked for a picture 10 Tell the
guard you will be going to Room 1045 The guard will give you a
sticker
The study is expected to run through Friday, January 16, with the
presentation by the VE team to be concluded by 2'00 pm The river model
will be available for viewing on Monday and again on Friday The URS
design team will lead the presentation to the VE team first thing on
Monday morning Study materials will be distributed at that time
